How do I clean my Kiwi Wool Pet Bed?

Jute Beds can be either hosed down or hand washed in a solution of 1/2 cup of white vinegar & 2 heaped tablespoons of baking soda diluted in 5 litres of warm water. The wool inner dries out beautifully laid flat in the sun, on the deck or over the clothes line.

Fabric beds will all have removable covers with can be machine washed on a gentle cycle. The inners are best hand washed in warm water or a baking soda & vinegar solution as above.

Sausage and nest beds all have cushions with removable covers which can be machine washed on a gentle cycle. Nest/sausage outers can be hand washed or machine washed on a delicate cycle.

With normal use, a jute bed should last up anywhere up to 5 years. Our fabric beds with removable covers are just as tough, with customers reporting that beds that were purchased 16 years ago are still in great condition!

What do I do if my dog is chewing his/her bed?

If your dog is chewing his/her bed, a great tip to put them off is to rub dishwashing detergent on the corners of the bed or wherever they are chewing. Most dogs will stop chewing after they grow out of the puppy stage (18 months - 2 years).
